Our scheduling platform separately collects your name, email, and appointment details when you book a session; that platform’s own privacy policy governs the data it collects.
We also automatically collect non-personal technical information when you visit our website — such as IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and time of visit — through Google Analytics 4, used only for aggregate website analytics.
We use this information to respond to your inquiry, communicate with you about your coaching sessions, send confirmations and reminders, improve how we deliver our services, and comply with legal obligations. We do not use your information for unsolicited marketing, and we do not sell, rent, or trade it to third parties.
Speech Happens is a professional communication coaching practice, not a clinical healthcare provider. We do not collect, store, or process protected health information (PHI) as defined by HIPAA. Please do not submit medical records, clinical histories, or confidential health information through our contact form. If you have a clinical speech, language, or communication need, we encourage you to seek care from a licensed speech-language pathologist or other appropriate healthcare provider.
Cookies
Our website uses cookies to help us understand how visitors use the site. Google Analytics 4 sets analytics cookies (_ga, _ga_XXXXXX) that expire after 2 years and do not identify you personally. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking using the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-On.
CleanTalk, our anti-spam service, sets cookies to detect and block spam submissions on our contact form. Our scheduling platform and contact form plugin may also set short-lived session cookies required for their functionality, which expire when you close your browser.

Who We Share Your Data With
We use the following trusted third-party services to operate our website and deliver our services, each of which handles your data according to its own privacy policy: Google Analytics 4 (website analytics), GoDaddy (website hosting), our scheduling platform (appointment booking), WPForms (contact form processing), CleanTalk (anti-spam and bot detection), and WP Mail SMTP (email delivery). We do not share your personal information with advertisers or data brokers, and we do not use Meta Pixel, TikTok tracking, or any advertising network tracking on this website.
How Long We Retain Your Data
We retain contact form submissions for up to 12 months from the date of submission, unless you request earlier deletion. Google Analytics data is retained for 14 months, consistent with Google’s standard retention settings. If you book a session, your appointment records are retained for as long as necessary to deliver your coaching services and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with any applicable record-keeping obligations.
What Rights You Have Over Your Data
You have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate information, request deletion of your personal information, and opt out of analytics tracking. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at admin@speechhappens.com — we will respond within 30 days. This does not include information we are required to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Where Your Data is Sent
Contact form submissions are checked through CleanTalk, an automated spam-detection service, to help block spam and bot submissions.

We use industry-standard safeguards to keep your information secure. Only authorized personnel and trusted service providers have access to client data.
